Philosophy Question of the day
Fri Feb 02, 2018 4:14 pm
What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives?
In my personal opinion, I think that a life-altering experience that a human ideally should have to go through is loss. Whether it be the loss of a family member or someone else that you care deeply for, a object that holds sentimental value or even a belief. Anything. Without being too grim, experiencing grief is a healthy way to prepare ourselves for the events that we will have to face as we grow. Learning to grieve can help a person strip away naivety, and develop a easy time finding inner What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives peace.
Feel free to discuss.

"Without Being Grim"
I guess this goes hand and hand with your answer, Prof, but I would said failure. Learning how to fail teaches someone how to deal with not coming out on top, and that it's okay not to always win. It can always build determination and drive, pushing that person to better themselves.

Family.
The nurturing love of a mother to show us how to love and be kind.
The direction of a father, to show us how to trust and take care of ourselves.
Siblings to show you how to bond and lead, or learn.
